The 'Love, Life, Self-esteem' project devised to serve a profound purpose. In today's social-media-driven world, where beauty is overly emphasized, the project served to convey a vital message to young people about the significance of love in human life and its intrinsic connection to self-esteem.
People increasingly often grapple with issues related to self-esteem and experience feelings of loneliness. 'Love Life, Self-esteem' tells the story of a man who embarks on a courageous voyage to Africa to take a stand against hunting. The man was expecting to face a series of challenges. What he could not have anticipated, however, was that his journey would be fundamentally transformative: by taking down the hunters he fortified his own self-esteem.
Our protagonists personal journey allowed for new opportunities and adventures to unravel before him. The rise in his self-worth and resilience proved to be a catalyst for the arrival of love into his life. As the narrative unfolds, this happy and fulfilling love, in turn, contributes to an even more profound enhancement of his self-esteem.

The 'Love, Life, Self-esteem' project takes the form of an editorial zine thoughtfully designed to convey its powerful message. The zine's design features a dynamic use of color, which reflects the bumpy emotional journey within. It transitions from a dark and almost ominous horror-inspired aesthetic to vibrant and colorful as it mirrors the protagonist's emotional evolution and the growth of his self-esteem.
The design philosophy is one of simplicity, effectively harnessing the visual and textual elements to emphasize the mood of each page. This straightforward yet impactful approach ensures that every aspect of the zine contributes to the overarching narrative, making the message accessible and resonant for the reader.
The concertina fold format was chosen because of its symbolism of life. Life is not a series of isolated events. It's a continuum, a constant flow of interconnected experiences, where one event follows another in an unbroken line. This idea inspired the chosen format over that of a conventionally bound book.
The reverse side of this unfolding narrative line features a profound and poignant text, simply titled 'Love.' The main word, 'Love' serves as the end and the beginning of a series of complementary statements, filtering these ideas. It's a powerful reminder of the transformative influence of love, both in how we perceive the events of our lives and in how we contribute to the world around us.
